Santa Cruz County has faced multiple several declared disasters in recent years. The 2020 CZU Fire devastated the region, burning over 86,000 acres and destroying 911 homes. And just two years later, the county was again hit hard by a series of winter and spring storms that caused widespread flooding, mudslides, and damage from fallen trees.
These disasters have had a profound impact on the Santa Cruz community and many of the families that are still displaced and struggling to rebuild their homes and recover. With the support of our amazing staff and volunteers we are rebuilding and repairing homes throughout Santa Cruz County.
